Accelerometer + RevoluteJoint + ApplyForce

I've been working on a game  prototype that uses Farseer engine and Physics Helper for  a WP7.

The game figure is connected to a pendulum via RevoluteJoint and swings via accelerometer force. When released the figure needs to  be propelled to connect to another pendulum. This functions o.k. but  I have a couple of issues around RevoluteJoints not being consistent and applying the force in the with the right amount of force. 

I think my problem is somewhere in PhysicsHelper, but would like to run this by somebody else who has successfully  wrestled with PhysicsHelper  before.

Anybody interest in consulting to help me smooth out the kicks?
